City Piazza, EC1

City Piazza Overview

City Piazza is located on the corner of Britton Street and Briset Street. Britton Street is one of the oldest in Clerkenwell, laid out between 1718 and 1724 formerly called Red Lion Street and renamed in 1937 after the antiquary and author John Britton who served as an apprentice at the Jerusalem Tavern.

City Piazza sits on the site of a Cold Store that had been designed by Gilbert Bath of Chelsea and latterly used as a car park, it was demolished in 1998 and replaced by what is now known as City Piazza.

Designed by GML Architects who are responsible for the design of many prominent residential buildings in Clerkenwell, it consists of three residential buildings centred around a raised landscaped courtyard and comprises thirty one, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments most of which have either a terrace or balcony, with twenty four secure parking spaces. The ground floor spaces are occupied by offices.
